TEDxHoboken
TEDxHoboken is the first event of its kind to hit THIS side of the Hudson River. Our actual event will take place in June of 2013 at The Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
Our theme is Infinite Horizons. Think about it... the word "infinity" in and of itself is capable of beckoning so many questions from within. Some of us look to the horizon and want to know what lies beyond. Those of us who do, we are the travelers, the adventurers; we are those who walk toward to the horizon which we see, always looking for another one to reach and explore. We are the ones who recognize that there are indeed an infinite amount of horizons.
The TEDxHoboken team will be hosting related mixers, events and TED simulcasts this year. Get excited for TEDxHoboken by attending our unique events and experiences. Sign up to be in the know at www.TEDxHoboken.com.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxHoboken, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxHoboken event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
